11-10-14 The Cheapest Way to Shoot Street Photos?

I’ve been wracking my brains for several months now, studying travel and subcompact cameras in an effort to find a great way to shoot street photography on the cheap. I’ve found some cool options, for example:

  • The Rollei 35
  • Nikon Coolpix S01
  •  Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP8

However, none have all the qualities for which I’m looking.  I want a cheap ($50 or under) camera, that’s small but offers nice image quality. And it could get lost or stolen without much upset. I didn’t realize what a tough task I’ve set for myself.

So after all my research, and several camera returns, I’m going to try an experiment…

I’m going to continue shooting with the 8 megapixel camera in my LG Spectrum smartphone and then use Alien Skin Exposure for processing.

I’ll post some examples to see if this experiment works!

Wish me luck!
