My Practice of Insight Meditation
Using the two CD kit pictured above, “Insight Meditation” by Sharon Salzberg and Joseph Goldstein, I’ve begun practicing insight meditation (I’m on my third day) and I’m finding it really helpful. Using ambient sound and my own breath as mantras, it very calming and significant. When I’m finished (after about 20 minutes) I feel clear-minded about things. I also sense it’s going to help in my Art. I think it’s going to help me focus and stay inspired to keep writing and directing comedy.
There are six types of Insight Meditation that the authors cover in the kit.
I highly recommend it to anyone, but especially if you are anxious or going through a tough time!
