Thanks to BBGUN Press, I had the pleasure of attending the screening of the new documentary Soul Boys of The Western World Screening last night at the IFC Center. It follows the life of the band Spandau Ballet – one of the first new romantic/new wave bands of the 1980s.

I just shot a music performance at Moscow 57 with my GoPro Hero3+ Black Edition and needed a stabilizer for it. So I bought the DigiPower Camera Stabilizer from Best Buy… it worked… but not when I was moving! What a contradiction in terms: a “stabilizer” that doesn’t keep your camera steady when you move!

I really like how my composite photo turned out! I took a scanned negative from my Black Rollei 35 35mm test roll I shot at DIA Beacon last year and combined or “composited” it in Photoshop CS6. The result is pretty cool!
More experiments to come!

I actually took this real photo of the Connecticut using my Panaview Optiwide 35mm panaramic camera. I then had the roll developed for just the negatives and scanned it using my Epson Perfection v600 Photo scanner.
I’m pretty excited today! It’s Earth Day: a time to celebrate our precious environment and give thanks for our beautiful world! How lucky we all are to live on this incredible planet! That’s why we need to protect it.
