4-15-15 OK GO Makes Terminal 5 it’s Funhouse on 4-11-15

I wasn’t sure what to expect from OK GO when I headed over to Terminal 5 this past Saturday night. But I ended up having a blast because of the band’s incredible use of audio/visual tech – it was totally engaging! Their use of audience participation and humor (they held three funny Q&A sessions with the crowd!) really held my attention. No wonder they’ve been able to build their audience ever since their hit treadmill video back in, like, 2006?

They used an amazing array of technology: front and rear projection screens, video cameras mounted to their mics (which fed onto the video screens), tons of confetti, glow-in-the-dark confetti, recording the audience stamping, etc. for use in one of their songs and even bubbles. Top it all off by state-of-the-art graphic design and the show was incredible. No wonder it was packed and they’re being called one of the most imaginative bands out there today. What a cool surprise!

If you have the chance to see them in concert, go for it. I think you’ll have a blast (even if you don’t know their music) because they’re so creative! Heck, at the end they even danced through a full song and then invited 20 people up on the stage with them.! Rock on OK GO!
