8-14-15 Of Zines and iPhone 5 Street Photos

I’m fresh back from vacation and just realized I can use my iPhone 5 to snap EVEN MORE street photos than before!
Turning Off the iPhone 5 Camera Autofocus
I’ve been experimenting with taking street photos with my iPhone while I walk (like the one above). But serendipity paid me a visit when a group of kids started dancing right in front of me on the F Train back from work!

As I reviewed the shots I’d taken of the boys and their derring-do, I realized that the iPhone 5 autofocus really slows down it’s shutter. I have to try to turning it off and seeing what results! It’s an experiment, but worth testing! And luckily, here’s the answer to turning off the iPhone Autofocus!
My Zine Update
I’ve finally secured a typewriter, so I’m ready to start creating the text in my Zine! I’m looking forward to seeing how it looks alongside with my photos.
The first issue will feature photos I’ve snapped around NYC. I’ll let you all know when it’s ready!
Homeless People in NYC
Walking to work every day through Grand Central, I see so many homeless people. It’s heartbreaking. I’ve decided one thing I can do about it is to take photographs. That way, I can raise some awareness about the sad problem.
Are there any subjects that make you want to take photographs?
