8-16-15 P.S. Bookshop in downtown DUMBO
I hope you all had a great weekend!
Several weeks ago, I had the pleasure of visiting P.S. Bookshop in downtown DUMBO. They have a great selection of new and used books, vintage posters, cards etc. On my birthday, I found this awesome zine there, and on this visit, a book on Pinhole Photography by Eric Renner.
Independent Bookstores are Integral to NYC
The main reason I wanted to post about this, is because I love bookstores. Unfortunately, P.S. Bookshop is being pressured by their landlord to leave their current space. It’s the same story we all keep hearing in NYC – the landlord wants more rent, so amazing small businesses have to close. I think small businesses, especially bookstores, help make NYC an intellectually rewarding place to live.
The Fight to Help P.S. Bookshop stay in DUMBO
If you can, please swing by their site to see how their fight to stay in DUMBO is going and, even better, stop by their shop for a great book-shopping experience!
Yours in Books,
