7-10-17 Album Review: Elephant EP by In The Valley Below

Hey readers, I just had the chance to listen to an advance of the five song EP “Elephant EP” by dream pop duo In The Valley Below. It’s a melodic journey through ’80s tinged sonic landscapes. Each song features beautiful vocals by both Angela Gail Mattson (vocals, keyboards) and Jeffrey Jacob Mendel (vocals, guitar), their voices floating over electronic backgrounds. I particularly liked their dreamy duet on the title track “Elephant”.

“Elephant EP” is a short album you can play from beginning to end, since its liquid charms blend one track into the next.  I think it will interest anyone who loves U2, Daniel Lenois and Mazzy Starr.
