7-28-17 On Tyranny by Timothy Snyder

Happy Friday! President Trump has once again been defeated in the US Senate. Thank you to the three courageous Republicans who were willing confront his tyrannical administration and protect the health coverage of tens of millions of US citizens.

Incidentally, I just finished reading the phenomenal book “On Tyranny” by Timothy Snyder. In it, Mr. Snyder compares current US politics with his deep knowledge of world history, defining fascism and laying tips on how to fight against it.

I learned how fascist leaders and regimes behaved in the past. It’s astonishing to see those same tactics playing out today.

It’s a short book, so I think it’s required reading for every US citizen.
