Hey Readers! I’m excited to say that I’m preparing to go away for my wedding. It’s only one week away!
So I won’t be updating until after the 17th. In the meantime, I encourage you to subscribe to the following newsletters, which cover cool writing-related subjects.
Hey readers! Sorry it’s been several weeks since my last post. There’s been so much going on, the best of which is: I’m getting married in June! I’ve also been writing a short ghost story to submit to a British ghost story anthology. And the deadline is in seven days. So there’s been a lot going on, thanks for bearing with me!
Hello all! Sorry I have been A.W.O.L. lately, there’s been a lot going on. I just read this article on how to energize one’s fiction and thought you all might like it:
4 Methods for Developing Any Idea Into a Great Story by Elizabeth Sims
Keep on rocking!
Hey Gang, what a week! I’m sorry I haven’t been posting much, I’ve had my hands very full lately.
On a recent trip up to Massachusetts, I was talking with my parents about all the wonderful and energetic people we knew who had passed on and how they would be remembered. Then I realized my very question was probably why ballads were written and stories of old were told about certain individuals: so their personalities and deeds would not be lost to death.
Thanks so much to all of you for your subscriptions to my blog. You are keeping it number one on Google Search!
Some thoughts on Skeleton Crew by Stephen King
Two weeks ago, I finished Stephen King’s epic short story anthology “Skeleton Crew”. While I found the book uneven at times (some of the story endings were not as good as the stories themselves), I really enjoyed his descriptions of New England (where I’m from). His descriptive powers are awesome, especially when it comes to describing nature. I also enjoyed the atmosphere King builds through almost over-describing everything. Often he’ll drift off topic, which can be frustrating, but maybe that’s what makes his stories stand out. It felt as if he was speaking to me in person!
Thanks so much for all your support – I’ve seen so many subscriptions roll in the last couple weeks and I really appreciate it. For those of you just finding my blog for the first time, you can subscribe using wordpress or explore the sharing options which appear below each of my posts. Needless to say, I just really appreciate your attention as Google search continues to list my blog very favorably!
Happy New Year! Today is the first day of an entirely new year. A real chance to try out new activities or refocus on older ideas that need more work or completion.
To that effect, I’m revisiting a photography zine I was working on back in 2015! And my short story writing will continue!
I wish all of you a bountiful new year full of peace, love and happiness!
Hey readers – sorry I’ve been AWOL for 6 days! Things are hectic with the holidays approaching and I got sick too!
Anyway, I wanted to share the above collection of science fiction book covers I’ve been pinning together on Pinterest. I can’t get over how awesome they are. And there are so many! Very inspiring for writing, I think.
You can scroll down in the board above to see more science fiction covers.
I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I do!
