Here’s another photoshop experiment on a scanned 35mm negative I took along the Hudson River to test a Rollei 35mm Travel Camera. I combined it in photoshop with a scan of a wet plate. I think it looks pretty convincing, and I didn’t have to get any chemicals on my hands. Technology is extraordinary!

5-1-15 Happy May Day! Don’t Give Up!

Happy May Day!

Today, I learned you can’t give up, even when things get frustrating. You just need to keep pushing on. For example, if you don’t like a photo you’ve taken, experiment with it! Fire up photoshop and mess with it. You may discover a solution that makes the image work, even better than the original!

Have a great weekend and check back Monday for more!

Another PhotoMontage or “Composite”

Greetings! Another start to a week and another chance to make art!

I really like how my composite photo turned out! I took a scanned negative from my Black Rollei 35 35mm test roll I shot at DIA Beacon last year and combined or “composited” it in Photoshop CS6. The result is pretty cool!

More experiments to come!

Shoot on!
