The last couple weeks I’ve been obsessed with researching 35mm half-frame cameras. I’m taking a trip in October and I want to bring a 35mm film camera, but don’t want my Nikon F3 getting stolen. For those of you unfamiliar with half-frame cameras, they were big from the the 1960s to the 1980s, when processing film was expensive.
I stumbled upon a fantastic blog which I have to share with you. It has tons of posts all about vintage and retro subjects from American culture. And many posts contain vintage photography! Lots of nostalgia here, but also lots of information.
So, basically, the blog is incredible!
Now that I’ve returned my Nikon FE (I’ll write about that soon), I’ve delved into my research of Rollei 35 “compact” or “sub compact” cameras.
Here’s a good discussion about the Rollei 35 on Flickr.
