6-13-15 In consideration of a FujiFilm 100T

Hey Readers!

I hope you had a great weekend! I had a restful one, the first in over a month, so it was a great relief. As my interest in street photography develops, I’ve been thinking a lot about purchasing the vaunted FujiFilm 100T, a camera a lot of street photographers have been talking about. Being ever-thrifty, I realized I should do a bit of research on YouTube and found the following two camera reviews. Happy Friday!

There’s been a lot of exciting stuff going on for me this past week!

I wasn’t sure what to expect from OK GO when I headed over to Terminal 5 this past Saturday night. But I ended up having a blast because of the band’s incredible use of audio/visual tech – it was totally engaging! Their use of audience participation and humor (they held three funny Q&A sessions with the crowd!) really held my attention. No wonder they’ve been able to build their audience ever since their hit treadmill video back in, like, 2006?

9-26-14 Retro New Wave and 80s Revival Music

I just found out that M83, Com Truise, College and the soundtrack to 2011’s movie Drive, isn’t the only dreamy retro 80s sythpop around! There’s a whole new genre out that’s sprung up! This relatively new genre of music is called, as far as I can tell, “80s New Wave Revival” or “80s SynthPop” or “80s Revival”. I just made the realization about this musical movement whilst exploring youtube (or course!) and ended up discovering NewRetroWave. It’s a youtube channel that hosts all these “Retro New Wave” bands.
